In the 135 years of our entrepreneurship, we have always been aware of our responsibility towards people and nature.
As an independent family business, we think and act in terms of generations. We consider the long-term effects before taking a decision. For us as a family business, it is a matter of course to do everything to make the planet worth living for the next generation and to protect and support our employees and our society. This is where we belong - these are our roots.
Our promise
We have a vision: We want to contribute to a better and more sustainable future by offering our experience, our activities and our technological know-how. These are not just empty words. We have been acting to this motto for decades!
We want to make sure the young generation and the ones coming after can live a better life therefore it is our responsibility to ensure sustainability. Our promise for sustainability is firmly anchored in our corporate policy.

Our targets
To make our strategy and our implementation progress transparent and measurable, we have defined three fields of action:
People, Planet and Product.
Guideline of our activities in these fields are the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the goals of the Agenda 2030 of the United Nations for sustainable development, which cover very comprehensively all aspects of sustainable development.

We are a fair and attractive employer.
We give first priority to the health and a respectful working environment of our employees, as they are the supporting pillars of our success. We offer flexibility and a good and family-friendly work life balance. As a company, we see ourselves as an active and positive member of society. We get involved with donations, especially to disabled and disadvantaged children, and encourage volunteering.
The protection of our planet is our main concern
We consider it as our corporate responsibility to continuously measure and reduce our consumption of resources such as water, electricity, process energy and raw materials therefore we have a certified environmental management system according to ISO 14001.
We want to be climate-neutral in Scope 2 by 2032.
In order to promote biodiversity, we financially support various projects - we present one example here - a project to reforest our local forests - the Teutoburg Forest. In our supply chain, we are guided by the Supply Chain Sustainability Act - for us, sustainability does not stop at the factory gate. Internal and external whistleblowers have the opportunity to draw our attention to any violations and problem areas.
Reforestation project in the Teutoburg Forest
Sustainability is very important to us - which is why we are pleased to present our latest reforestation project in the Teutoburg Forest. Together with Climatebloom, we have planted 11,000 new trees over an area of 4 hectares. This measure is intended not only to strengthen the natural diversity of the forest, but also to make an important contribution to combating climate change.
Through this reforestation, we are promoting biodiversity in the region and creating habitats for numerous animal and plant species. We also support the natural regeneration of the forest and help to improve the carbon footprint.
However, our commitment to sustainability does not end with reforestation. We continuously promote environmentally friendly practices in all areas of our business and work to minimize our ecological footprint. This project is another step in our efforts to create a green and sustainable future.
We connect the world
We want to offer all our clients climate-neutral and recyclable products.
To be able to reach this goal, the textile chain needs to be sustainable throughout the whole process – from the procurement of raw materials to the manufacture in our plant and the delivery.
Therefore, we are in close exchange with leading manufacturers of recycled or recyclable yarns worldwide while continuously optimizing our own production processes.
